This beautiful flower was designed by a customer who quickly became a good friend of mine. Amy is a beautiful soul who was diagnosed with terminal Brain Cancer and multiple secondary cancers in 2016. This beautiful young lady (who is only 25yo) was told by doctors she did not have long left to live and I wanted to honour her by selling her flower and donating part proceeds to brain cancer research.
$5 from the sale of each of these flowers will be donated by Tammaspice Designs directly to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation (under our Letter of Authority).
EDIT: After lots of gruelling medical treatments Amy has gone into remission, woohoo!!! We are still fundraising for more research into this horrible disease however as we want to help find a cure.
This flower has been called Memories as grey is the official colour of the brain cancer research ribbon, grey matter comes from the brain, and all of our memories come from the brain. Rather fitting considering that is where the journey down this road started.
The flower is lovingly hand-sewn together in our studio in Hobart, Tasmania. It is just gorgeous in both adult and childrens hair.
They are approx. 6.5cm wide from tip to tip with a 23mm button in the centre. The flower is then securely glued onto a 4.5cm alligator clip (no teeth) with a non slip grip attached to hold onto even the finest persons hair (my daughter has tested this!!).
I can also make these on a thick white elastic hair tie if you prefer instead of a clip – just select the style you prefer below.
Please help us support this very important cause.
I have a Letter of Authority to Fundraise from the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. If you wish to see it, just ask 🙂
NOTE: As I am not a registered charity I cannot give you a tax receipt but you can get one by donating $2 or more directly to them via their donations page https://www.curebraincancer.org.au/donations
